At Mondrian Ibiza and Hyde Ibiza, sustainability is an integral part of our commitment to the island’s natural and social environment. Every action we take aims to reduce environmental impact, protect Ibiza’s surroundings, and offer our guests a more responsible and conscious experience.
Among our key initiatives is the promotion of renewable energy and the improvement of energy efficiency through optimized lighting and climate control systems. We have also implemented waste management procedures that encourage recycling and reuse. In addition, we use Culligan osmosis water systems to reduce waste and collaborate with initiatives such as NEA Water, which contribute to the conservation of posidonia in the Balearic Islands.
Collaboration with local suppliers is another important pillar, promoting products made on the island and supporting the local economy. We also introduce our guests to some of Ibiza’s most representative products, such as local wines, honey, and the traditional hierbas ibicencas.
As a new initiative in 2026, we have implemented Orbisk technology to monitor and reduce food waste in our kitchens. This system analyzes food waste and helps optimize processes to minimize waste, contributing to a more efficient and sustainable use of resources.
Our environmental commitment is further reinforced by the Green Key sustainability certification, as well as the development of initiatives such as the Carbon Footprint Calculation and the implementation of a Circularity Plan, which support our efforts to reduce environmental impact and promote responsible resource management.
In addition, we participate in various charitable initiatives alongside the Spanish Association Against Cancer, contributing to fundraising efforts for research and patient support.
