Ibiza Convention Bureau advances a shared sustainability strategy for the MICE industry
The Ibiza Convention Bureau (ICB) brought together its members at the Ibiza Conference Centre for a collaborative workshop focused on shaping the future of sustainable MICE tourism on the island.
Developed in partnership with GenÉthico, the session focused on co-creating Ibiza's collective sustainability narrative as a business events destination. Through a series of interactive workshops, participants worked together to define the values, commitments and key messages that will help communicate Ibiza's sustainability vision to both national and international markets.
The workshop encouraged the exchange of ideas, best practices and experiences between members of the local MICE community, creating a shared vision of how Ibiza can continue to strengthen its position as a destination for meetings, conferences, incentive travel and corporate events with a strong commitment to sustainability.
Beyond developing a common narrative, initiatives such as this reinforce collaboration across the destination. Bringing together venues, hotels, destination management companies and other industry partners helps create a stronger and more resilient business events ecosystem capable of responding to the growing demand for responsible and high-impact events.
Sustainability has become an increasingly important factor in destination selection. By working collectively on environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles, the Ibiza Convention Bureau and its members are helping position Ibiza as a destination that combines exceptional event experiences with a genuine commitment to responsible tourism and long-term value creation.
The Ibiza Convention Bureau thanks all participating members for their engagement and valuable contributions. Working together, the destination continues to build a shared vision that will strengthen Ibiza's reputation as one of the Mediterranean's leading sustainable MICE destinations, delivering positive outcomes for businesses, visitors and the local community.
